The 2026 Cranford Township Committee Candidates Forum will begin at 7 p.m. in the Township Committee Chamber at the Cranford Municipal Building. According to the Rotary Club, incumbent Paul A. Gallo and Susan Burke, both Democrats, along with Republicans Sam Prince and Dennis Miller, have accepted invitations to participate.
The evening is structured as a moderated forum rather than an open-microphone event. Each candidate will make opening remarks, respond to questions selected by the moderator and offer closing statements. Audience questions and comments will not be taken during the program.
Residents may submit a question for consideration in advance by emailing cranfordrotaryforum2026@gmail.com no later than one week before the event. The club said the forum will be open to Cranford residents on a first-come, first-seated basis, with proof of residency required for admission.
The candidates forum offers a shared setting for residents to compare the people seeking to serve on the Township Committee and to hear their responses to common local concerns. The Rotary Club of Cranford, founded in 1923, has long organized community-service projects and supports local initiatives including youth programs, scholarships and nonprofit organizations.
The Oct. 14 forum gives Cranford residents a scheduled opportunity to hear from each confirmed candidate before Election Day.
