The Vreeland House: A Link to Cranford’s Beginnings

On Lincoln Avenue East, the Vreeland House preserves a piece of Cranford’s earliest history. Believed to date to about 1770, possibly earlier, it began as a one-room wooden structure with a large hearth, when the community was known as Crane’s Mills.
